SAE INDIA
SAE INDIA is an affiliate society of SAE International, registered as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility community in India. As an individual member driven society of mobility practitioners, SAEINDIA comprises members who are individuals from the mobility community, which includes engineers, executives from industry, government officials, academics and students. Principal emphasis is placed on transport industries such as automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicles.
SAE India recognizes the formation of SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB of TOC H Institute of Science & Technology for Academic Year 2018-19.
One day works shop on Automobile engineering was conducted for the Mechanical Engineering students, along with SAE India as Technical partner on 02.07.2018 July 2018, Monday at TIST. Prof.(Dr.) Preethi Thekkath, Principal, TOC H Institute of technology inaugurated the workshop. Mr. K. Ganapathy Subramanian, Deputy General Manager, Marketing, M/s Simpson & Co. Ltd., Chennai, (SAE Sponsored) delivered a talk on the latest trends in diesel engine, emission regulation, need for engineers to gain additional skills etc., to face the challenges and demands of current employers.
The workshop benefitted the Mechanical Engineering students from Second year to Final year. The morning session started with self introduction of participants followed by Mock interview for final year students. Each student was asked to prepare a Bio-data on the spot and was asked to take up interview along with their faculty. The interviews were conducted to improve the preparedness of final year students to face visiting professionals from industry. Second and Third year students were given specific topics and were called to speak about specific topicd with 15 minutes of preparation
Prof. (Dr.) Babu John, Vice Principal, and HOD (M.E.) thanked M/s Simpson & Co. Ltd. and SAE Southern Section for their support and presented the memento as the token of appreciation. Mr. K. Ganapathy Subramanian thanked Mr. Francis – SAE Cochin Division, for organizing this event and his extended support for the future events of SAEINDIA Southern Section.
