Association  & Activities

TIST Management Association (TMA) was inaugurated by Mr. Kochouseph Chittilapilly, Chairman, V-Guard Industries on 24th September 2010. TMA was formed with the focus of creating innovative and enterprising managers for the future.

2020 - 2021

The second edition of the talk show was organized on 14th June 2022. The speaker of the session was Mr. Aravind Warrier, HR Director, Barnes, and Noble Publishers India

The much-awaited Graduation Ceremony for MBA batches 2018, 2019, and 2020 was organized on 20th May 2022. Prof. Bojan Radisic (Veleuciliste U Pozegi, Croatia) and Prof. Kristian Dokic (Veleuciliste U Pozegi, Croatia), the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour of the function distributed the certificates to the graduating students.

An Industrial Visit to “Kanan Devan Hills Plantation Company Private Limited” at Munnar was organized on 13 May 2022. At 5.30 am on 13th May, 59 students of the 2021 – 23 batch accompanied by two faculties Dr.Tessla Arakkal and Assistant Professor Mr.Shibin Raj went for Industrial Visit. Students have the opportunity to view the entire process of tea processing to packing and they were also shown the history of the prestigious tea plantation.

The Department of Management Studies organized an International Conclave on ‘Changing World Order and Its Impact on Business on 6th May 2022. Prof. Berislav Andilic, Vice- Dean of Veleuciliste u Pozegi, Croatia inaugurated the conclave. Prof. Marko Sostar (Croatia), Prof. Rodrigo Franco Gonçalves (Brazil), Prof. Aynur Alizadeh (Azerbaijan), and Prof. Tika Ram Bhandari (Bhutan), Dr. S C Thushara (Sri Lanka) were the other speakers at the conclave.

The talk series envisaged to provide our students with a platform to interact with corporates – is an MBA@ Toc H Initiative. The first edition of the most awaited Talbot Talk Series was conducted on 29th April 2022. The speaker for the talk was Mrs. Geethu Anna Rajan, Customer Service Specialist, SAP (Alumni, TIST-MBA). She inspired the students by sharing her work experience, challenges she faced in the corporate field, and balancing her personal and professional life.

To kindle the entrepreneur in each student, the department organized a 3-day Melon Fest on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of April 2022. The fest was conducted by the MBA students with guidance from the faculty which provided them the knowledge of running a business.
