DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
Mathematics Department was established in the year 2006. As Mathematics being “QUEEN OF ALL SCIENCES”, this department has got its own importance in the curriculum of all streams of students in the campus. TIST, which aims at grooming well known professionally qualified engineers, cannot fulfill its obligation without this esteemed department.
Successful mathematicians with sound knowledge of mathematical fundamentals coupled with professional communicative and mathematical skills which is of real matter in the world of competition is the mode of training imparted to students.
The uniqueness in the faculty wing is exhibited by the existence of ‘Veteran’ in the field of Mathematics and rank holders, who energetically and enthusiastically contribute for the culminate performance of students.
Imparting Special Coaching
The efficient capability of faculty are thoroughly witnessed through the training program given to M.B.A students during project work in the form of statistics and Research Methodology.
Students who join third Semester as lateral entry students after their diploma are given special coaching to improve their lagging mathematical foundations through extra morning and evening hours.
Special classes are organized during the exam time for all students to make them psychologically fit to face the Mathematics examination without much stress.
Students are benefitted and tested at times through the Quiz Programs which enrich the mathematical knowhow of students to a large extent. The Department gained its own prominence in the history of TIST by stepping up the land mark “ ALL KERALA INTER-COLLEGIATE MATHEMATICS QUIZ COMPETITION” from 2009.
As a regularity, importance of Mathematics to various streams are practiced in a real manner by the senior faculty of the department with every other department engaging themselves every now and then.
The ready availability of faculty for any clarification regarding Mathematics at every point irrespective of students and colleagues is a practice which add additional feather to the “Crown of rich Queen”
