Institutions Innovation Council (IIC)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

IIC is an Initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India for selected Higher Education Institutes.<\/p>\n

MIC & IIC<\/strong><\/h4>\n

MHRD has established \u2018MHRD\u2019s own Innovation Cell (MIC)\u2019. The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform their idea into prototypes, while they are in formative years.<\/span><\/p>\n

MIC plans to achieve this by systematically fostering the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), by creating individual \u2018Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IICs)\u2019 across selected HEIs.<\/p>\n

A network of these IICs will be established to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campuses.<\/p>\n

Toc H Institute of Science & Technology <\/strong>is a member of MHRD\u2019s Innovation Cell (MIC). The institution\u2019s Innovation Council (Toc H IIC)<\/strong> aims to streamline and strengthen the innovation and start-up ecosystem in the campus so that the students can develop the skill set which enables critical thinking, design thinking, innovative thought process and encourages an entrepreneurial mindset.<\/p>\n

  • To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem<\/li>\n
  • Start-up\/entrepreneurship supporting Mechanism in HEIs<\/li>\n
  • Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework (ARIIA)<\/li>\n
  • Establish Function Ecosystem for Scouting Ideas and Pre-incubation of Ideas<\/li>\n
  • Develop better Cognitive Ability amongst Technology Students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Functions of Institution\u2019s Innovation Council<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    • To promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campus.<\/li>\n
    • To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bounded fashion.<\/li>\n
    • To identify and reward innovations and share success stories.<\/li>\n
    • To organize periodic workshops\/ seminars\/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.<\/li>\n
    • To network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.<\/li>\n
    • To create an Institution\u2019s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution\u2019s faculty and students.<\/li>\n
    • To organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc., with the involvement of industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
