Achievements 2024-25

Student Achievements – Placements

Students of S8 Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) have secured placements in reputed organizations.

Ms. Nandhana Radhakrishnan, Ms. Thejasree Sreejith, and Mr. Adarsh Rameshan were placed at Rialto.

Ms. Nandhana Radhakrishnan, Ms. Divya Ganesh, and Mr. Kalidasan J secured placements at Stanadyne.

Additionally, Ms. Keerthi C. S. and Mr. Vishnu V. P. secured placements at Sree Abhirami Engineering Works.

The department congratulates all the students on their achievements and wishes them continued success in their professional careers.

Faculty Achievements – FDPs

Ms. Greeshma Thankam Philip, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical & Electrical Engineering, Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST), has actively participated in multiple Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) organized by reputed institutions and national bodies, demonstrating her continuous commitment to professional development and academic excellence.

She successfully completed an AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Faculty Development Programme on “Energy Utilisation for Sustainability as a Solution for Climate Change”, conducted at Musaliar College of Engineering and Technology, Pathanamthitta, from 15 December 2025 to 20 December 2025.

Additionally, she participated in a Six-Day Faculty Development Programme on “Deep Learning for Text, Vision, and Emerging Multimodal Systems”, organized by the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Toc H Institute of Science and Technology, in collaboration with ICFOSS, from 1 December 2025 to 6 December 2025.

She also attended a Faculty Development Programme on “Green Technologies for a Sustainable Future: The Synergy of EVs and Renewable Energy”, organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Vimal Jyothi Engineering College (Autonomous), from 17 November 2025 to 21 November 2025.

Furthermore, she completed another AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Programme on “Renewable Energy Systems and Grid Integration: Technologies, Challenges and Solutions”, conducted at MEA Engineering College, Perinthalmanna, from 1 December 2025 to 6 December 2025.

These achievements reflect her dedication to staying updated with emerging technologies in renewable energy, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and deep learning, thereby contributing to academic enrichment and quality teaching at TIST.

Faculty Achievements
  1. AICTE ATAL FDP Participation

Ms. Greeshma Thankam Philip, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Toc H Institute of Science and Technology, successfully completed the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Faculty Development Program on “Hydrogen Energy Systems for a Clean and Green Future”.The FDP was organized by Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology from 13th to 18th October 2025.

  1. NPTEL Certification

Asst. Prof. Greeshma Thankam Philip, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, successfully completed the NPTEL Online Certification Course on “Signal Processing Algorithms and Architectures” during August–September 2025.The course was offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India through the SWAYAM platform.

Faculty Development Programme Participation

Ms. Mangaladevi K.T., HOD, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, successfully participated in a 5-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Frontiers in Smart Energy, Technical Communication and Sustainable Innovation” organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mangalam College of Engineering, Kottayam, Kerala, from 23rd to 27th September 2025.
The programme provided valuable insights into emerging frontiers of smart energy systems, sustainable innovation practices, and advancements in technical communication, equipping participants with knowledge and skills relevant to the evolving academic and industrial landscape.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

S8 EEE Students, Augustus Hayden Antony and Muhammed HarisLebba K M  participated in the university level quiz competition organised by the aegis of energy club kerala, held on 25th January at Thejus Engineering College, Thrissur.

Ann Maria P X , of S2 EEE was the member of the team that secured 1st position in “ Bridge It 2025 “ , which was conducted as part of Techsila’25 organized by the department of Civil Engineering.

Faculty Achievement

Asst. Prof. Prabin James was the guest speaker in IEEE Region 10 Student Summit, Kochi Hub Meet 2024 organized by IEEE Kochi Hub in association with IEEE student branch Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady on 5th and 6th October 2024.

Achievements 2023-24

The toppers of S3 EE Divya Ganesh and S3 EL Sreelakshmi M P were awarded textbooks as a part of motivating them to achieve greater heights.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

Excited to share that our students (Ambily Udayakumar, Archana P A, Sivapriya U R and Surya Krishna Prasad of S8, EEE) had participated in the student innovation competition conducted by the KREEPA GREEN POWER EXPO 2023. They were shortlisted among the best student projects and received a cash prize of Rs. 5000.

Our S7 EEE project team consisting of Ms. Ambily Udaykumar, Ms. Archana PA, Ms. Sivapriya UR, Mr. Surya Krishna Prasad under the guidance of project guide, Dr. Aishwarya V participated and exhibited their project in the Regional Rural Innovators Meet (RIM) organized by KSCSTE on 28/11/23.

Ambily Udayakumar,Archana P A, Sivapriya U R,Surya Krishna Prasad ( B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering) Participated and achieved Student Rural Innovation Award in Rural Innovators Meet Kerala 2023 hosted by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment ( KSCSTE )and awarded Rs. 10000/-  for their outstanding innovation Solar Powered I-AUV

UBA Research Project Grant – Awarded a research project grant of Rs.80000/- for the project “Solar Photovoltaic Bubble Dryer” under the Renewable Energy Scheme (RES) of Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan, Govt. of India. This project is implemented for the Edakkattuvayal Grama Panchayat, Ernakulam district, Kerala.

Asst. Prof. Anjumol C S (Dept of EL) and Asst Prof Annai Raina T A( Dept. of EEE) had  successfully participated & completed AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy Faculty Development Program on Electric Vehicles: Technologies & Challenges at ALBERTIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (AISAT)- TECHNICAL CAMPUS from 29/01/2024 to 03/02/2024

Asst. Professor Mangala Devi K.T completed the 5-day ONLINE FDP on the topic “POWER SYSTEM RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS” from 30th Oct to 3rd November 2023.

  • Asst. Prof. Mangala Devi KT , HOD (I/C), Dept. of EEE  successfully completed one week online “Faculty Development Program ” on the topic “Satellite Communication: Design prospective and Applications”  held from 21st August 2023 – 26th August 2023, organized by  Annant Gyan Knowledge and Skills Private Limited.
  • Asst. Prof. Mangala Devi KT , HOD (I/C), Dept. of EEE  has participated in one day National Webinar “Smart Grid Cybersecurity ” organized by MUAD on July 7th 2023, Central Power Research Institute.
  • Dr. Aishwarya V (EL) and Asst. Prof. Nisha R (EE) of the EEE Department received a research grant of Rs. 80000/- for their project “Solar Photovoltaic Bubble Dryer” under the Renewable Energy Scheme (RES) of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), Government of India

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Divya Ganesh and Sreehari K P of S2 EEE shared the third prize in a Quiz organized by the EEE department on 10th February 2023 as part of the National Science Day Celebration.
  • Ambily Udayakumar of S6 EEE bagged 1st prize in the 200m race, 2nd prize in the long jump, and 3rd prize in the 100m race in College Sports Day.
  • Abhishek Haridas of S1 EE (2022 Admission) bagged third prize in the “Energy Quiz” organized by the EEE Department on 16th December 2022 as a part of National Energy Conservation Day 2022.
  • Kiran Jose of S3 EEE bagged 3rd prize in an anti-drug quiz organized as part of the National Service Scheme.
  • Muhammed Harris Lebba (S3 EEE) and Sivapriya (S5 EEE) grabbed first and second prize respectively in College Level KSEB Power Quiz 2022 organized on 20thOctober 2022.
