| The library is open from 8.30 am to 8.00 pm on all working days except Saturdays. On Saturday, working time will be from 08.30am to 6.00 pm |
| All personal belongings such as textbooks, notebooks, files, bags, umbrellas should be kept in the baggage counter. However, plain papers/notepads for taking down notes can be taken to the library |
| Each student will be allowed to enter the Library after scanning the I D Card at the entrance. Faculty is allowed entry on finger print punching |
| Strict silence should be observed in the library |
| The books are lent only on submission of the I D card |
| A borrower taking a book on loan should check the book and inform the Librarian, if there is any damage. A penalty of minimum or the cost of actual damage caused will be collected from the user |
| A student can take 5 books at a time. The books should be returned within 14 days from the date of issue. On failure of late return/renewal of books, a late fee will be levied |
| Books lend may be renewed for a further period of 14 days, if no other student has applied for the books. More than one consecutive renewal will not be allowed |
| During study holidays before exams, students will be allowed to keep the books till the end of their exams |
| Books that are in special demand may be called for, at any time |
| Books borrowed from the library are not transferable |
| No damage should be caused to the books and other materials in the library |
| Handle the books carefully. Do not tear the pages of books and magazines |
| If a book is permanently damaged or missing, the person who is responsible for it has to replace the book. If replacement is not possible, the cost of the book will be collected from the concerned person |
| Books in the reference section should not be taken out of the library |
| Periodicals will not be issued to students |
| All the students are required to observe the prescribed dress code while moving in the Library Block. Students not wearing the formal dress may be denied entry in the library |
| Combined Study will not be allowed in the library |
| All students are requested to co-operate in the smooth functioning of the library |
