Inauguration of ASAP Advanced Skill Development Center
Inauguration of ASAP Advanced Skill Development Center along with Launch of CSI TIST Student Branch & CSAT Association Activities by DR. SAJI GOPINATH, CEO, Kerala Start-Up Mission, and Director IITM-K Technopark on Feb 05, 2019.
ASAP ASDC’s were launched across the state as an initiative to develop skill sets in students for the next generation jobs requiring Industry 4.0 skill sets. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI ML) was launched as the first course under this initiative. The AI ML course is of 600 hours duration along with internships and aims at making the students’ industry ready in the respective domain. 24 students at TIST are currently undergoing the course. On successful completion, the students will be issued certificates from IIT Madras.
TIST sign MoA with ASAP to conduct Certification Course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
The Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Shri. K.T. Jaleel formally inaugurated the event held at Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum on 15th November 2018 and launched the program. He emphasized on the role of skills in the job market and how ASAP is playing a crucial role by providing futuristic skill courses to the students. Shri. Saji Joseph, Head-ILP Corporate functions, TCS talked about how Artificial Intelligence is becoming common in our lives and becoming an Industry standard.
Prof (Dr.) Preethi Thekkath, Principal, Toc H Institute of Science & Technology and Ms. Sreela Sreedhar, Associate Prof & HOD CSE, (Nodal Officer of TIST ASDC), attended the function at Trivandrum.
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course, certified by IIT Chennai, is of one-year duration with 600 hours of course content covering relevant theory, practical’s and Project. The faculty from the selected institutes were trained in the domain of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, who in turn will be delivering the course to the students. ASAP assists the students through Internship and placements as part of course completion.
Google Cloud ACE Program
Third batch of Six students from the Department of CSE successfully completed Google Cloud ACE Program through the Advanced Skill Development Centre (ASDC) in November 2021.
AWS CLOUD FOUNDATION GRADUATES
Twenty six students from the department of Computer science and engineering has successfully graduated the AWS Cloud Foundation programme by AWS academy through Advanced Skill Development Centre (ASDC) launched by Govt. of Kerala under ASAP in 2021.
UI Path Robotics Process Automation (RPA Certification)
The second batch comprising of five students from the Department of Computer science and engineering has successfully completed UI Path Robotics Process Automation course with RPA certification through Advanced Skill Development Centre (ASDC) launched by Govt. of Kerala under ASAP in 2021.
IBM Advanced Certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning/Business Analytics
Four students from the Department of Computer science and engineering technology received IBM advanced certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and one student from the department received IBM advanced certification in Business Analytics through Advanced Skill Development Centre (ASDC) launched by Govt. of Kerala under ASAP in 2021.
