- Energy Management Survey & LED Awareness Drive
As part of our commitment to promoting sustainable energy practices, the students of the epartment of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, under the IEEE PES SB of TOCH, successfully organized an Energy Management Survey and LED Awareness Drive in nearby residential communities on july 19th 2025.
The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and social responsibility by directly engaging with local households. The primary objective was to educate the community on the importance of energy conservation and promote the shift towards efficient lighting solutions.
Through this outreach program:
✅Households were educated on simple yet effective energy-saving habits, helping them understand the significance of power management in daily life.
💡LED bulbs were distributed to homes still using outdated and inefficient lighting systems, thereby taking a direct step toward reducing energy wastage.
✅Residents were made aware of the numerous benefits of LED technology—including reduced electricity bills, lower carbon footprint, and a significantly longer lifespan compared to conventional bulbs.
✅The drive also served to strengthen community engagement, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and collective action.
This impactful activity not only reinforced the importance of sustainable practices but also gave students practical exposure in conducting surveys, communicating with the public, and leading social initiatives.
