Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy

The Tenth batch of PG Diploma in Counseling and Psychotherapy 2020-2021 commenced in online mode due to the pandemic on 5th December 2021.

The Department is also conducting a Post Graduate Diploma programme in  Counseling and Psychotherapy .It aims to build a second layer of counselors who will be armed with the fundamental of counselling .This course has been recognized by Indian Academy of Applied Psychology (IAAP) Chennai. The First batch started in August 2013.

Report on the Valedictory Function of the Fifteenth batch of PG Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy

The Valedictory Function of the Fifteenth batch of PG Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy was held on 23 rd August 2025 at Talbot Centre. The session marked the successful culmination of the one year long program, which was organized by Department of Applied Psychology and Counselling.
The function commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Mr. Santhosh, who highlighted the objectives and achievements of the event. This was followed by a brief presentation on the activities and sessions conducted during the course by Dr. Reena Madhu and Dr. Fabil Varghese, course coordinators. They encouraged the participants to carry forward the knowledge and skills they had acquired and also emphasized the importance of updating their
knowledge.
Certificates were distributed to all the participants, and special recognition was given to outstanding performers. Feedback from participants was also shared, reflecting the effectiveness and relevance of the course.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Rejitha, expressing gratitude to the participants and faculty for their support and cooperation.
The valedictory function thus marked a fitting finale to the event, leaving the participants
enriched and motivated.
