Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.
Vision
To involve the reputed higher educational institutions (technical / non-technical / public / private ) of the country in the process of indigenous development of self-sufficient and sustainable village clusters.
TIST UBA Team, includes Principal, HoDs, Staff members and students of TIST visiting nearby villages and conversing their issues and possible revolutions with Panchayath members. First stop was at Edakkauvayal followed by Vadavucode – Puthencruz, and Chottanikkara Grama Panchayath.

UBA Training Program “WASH for All: Strengthening Social Outreach through Water, Sanitation and Hygiene initiatives” on November 7th and 8th at Alappuzha.
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) training program titled “WASH for All: Strengthening Social Outreach through Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Initiatives” was conducted on November 7th and 8th, 2024, in Alappuzha. The two-day event aimed to empower UBA coordinators, village representatives, and local stakeholders to promote sustainable WASH practices in rural communities. The program was structured around interactive workshops, expert lectures, and hands-on activities: Inauguration and Keynote Address, Technical Sessions, Group Discussions, Case Study Presentations, and field visits.
