TIST is the first college under KTU in Kerala to offer this exclusive undergraduate B.Tech program in Electrical & Computer Engineering. This B.Tech program was commenced in the year 2020.

The technology that improve lives and shapes society is more powerful and changing more rapidly than any other time in human history. The world of the future- the very near future will have billions of devices connected on the Internet of Things and working together using the latest algorithms for artificial intelligence and Machine learning.

Considering the diverse range of job requirements in the field of Electrical Engineering, it is necessary that an Electrical Engineer should acquire additional skills in the areas like programming, automation, machine learning etc. to name a few. Automation is the buzz word in the current industrial scenario. So in the areas of design, research and development, the knowledge of Electrical and Computer Engineering will give the job seekers an edge over other competitors.

International surveys show that about one-third of graduate level job opportunities around the world may be replaced by machines and software. Hence it is important to re-skill our students and prepare them for addressing new challenges in modern Electrical industry with recent software tools.
