Four great years at Toc H Institute of Science and Technology was an incredible experience. Thanks to Toc H for shaping my future! The rigor and quality of education provided by Toc H have opened opportunities for me to excel in academics and research. This I believe is the reason why Toc H is an outstanding institution with global recognition. Teaching methods and the practical sessions greatly motivated me to think beyond limits and inspire me to dream for what I wanted to pursue in my life. At Toc H, I found myself absorbed in learning new and innovative topics. The course topic on ‘Water resources engineering and well hydraulics’, which was offered towards the final semesters drove me to carry out my Master’s and Ph.D. in Water Resources. I can proudly say that even my present position as a Postdoctoral researcher at USDA-ARS would not have been possible without the foundation I received at Toc H.

It was a great time, spent at Toc H. The mechanical department has wonderful faculty and they are very cooperative. The relation between faculty and the student is very cordial, which gave me an opportunity to excel further. The four years spent here was splendid and has helped me excel professionally as well as personally. Apart from academic, the department offers various opportunities to enjoy our college days, which were attracting us towards college many of the time. Community activities, group assignments/tasks, mock interviews and employability skills development class etc., were helped me personally to groom myself in 360 degrees of life expectations.

College is the place where you mature and turn into a seasoned professional. It’s a period where you absorb a tremendous amount of knowledge and explore the limits of your imagination. My time at Toc H was no different. I learnt the nuances of Computer Science under the guidance of some of the most experienced faculty in Kerala. I thoroughly enjoyed all my lectures as they were very interactive, students were encouraged to ask questions and be curious! The mentoring given to us during project work was truly exceptional. We were given enough freedom to bring to life, technically challenging and creative ideas. The computer science department regularly organises events with external speakers – members from the industry, pioneers in various fields. These events shaped my perspective on world issues. The department supported us in organising many student-led, extra-curricular activities. Such events helped me build leadership and public speaking skills and gave me the confidence to lead international teams on projects spanning multiple geographies. I made a life-long bond with my faculty and friends during my time at Toc H. Even today, their support and belief in me makes me push myself harder to pursue my goals. I am immensely grateful to all my teachers and staff at the department for nurturing me during those four years.

Glad to be a part of TIST family. I was into the first batch of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University ( KTU ). I would like to thank everyone in TIST including management, teaching and non-teaching staff, friends. I really enjoyed the four year journey. I believe that level of motivation and support from the department for studies, co-curricular and extra curricular activities made our batch a dynamic one. Success stories of our seniors had influenced us very much . Special thanks to Placement department for helping us to start career.
The specific course structure of this B Tech programme helped in developing a clear insight about the concept of safety and career opportunities. Facilities like lab, central library, department library helped us a lot. Internship opportunities provided by the department gave us a clear picture about the concepts. Many students in our batch successfully completed internships/industrial projects from BPCL Kochi Refinery, GAIL, Petronet LNG – Kochi Terminal, Cochin Shipyard , Cochin Port Trust , FACT-Kochi , FRBL , KMRL(Kochi Metro) , KMML-Chavara , Nagpur International Airport , Indian Telephone Industries Limited , Transformers and Electricals Limited Kerala (TELK) , Apollo Tyres , The Metal Industries LTD – Shornur etc.
Seniors always guided us in a great way , helped us to think more practically , shared their personnel experience . Many students in our batch completed NEBOSH (UK) IGC-OHS during semester breaks.
College provided us opportunities to attend workshops in association with National Safety Council – Kerala Chapter , NPTEL courses , RAISE (National Conference) etc.
Activities of units like NSS , KARMA taught us new lessons of love and care. NSS camps , flood relief activities , blood donation camps , road safety campaigns , marathon etc were moments of happiness. Sports club , Gym , Arts Club , Campus fest (ADVAY) , Arts fest (MUDRA) were arenas for students to present and develop their talent.
MAVERIX, a home away from home made our college life more colourful . The hostel located within the college campus provides us a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere . The synergy level in MAVERIX is very high in terms of arts, sports & games, academics . Every year MAVERIX welcomes new comers with pleasure and also gives great farewell for final year inmates. Legacy of sharing makes every moment here, a memorable one.
