HANDSON WORKSHOP ON WEB DESIGN
The Hands on workshop on Web Design was conducted on 27th November 2024 from 10.30 am to 11.40am. The event was conducted by Asst. Prof. Lakshmi.S.Dutt, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Simulation lab, organized by Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for first semester students.
The Hands-on Workshop on Web Design aimed to provide participants with practical experience in designing websites using essential web development tools, including HTML and CSS. This workshop targeted individuals who were new to web design and aimed to help them grasp the fundamentals needed to create functional, well-designed web pages. The workshop’s hands-on approach allowed participants to immediately apply what they learned by building their own websites, making the experience engaging and practical. Participants felt that they gained valuable hands-on skills, particularly in HTML , which they could immediately apply in their personal or professional projects. It effectively equipped participants with the basic knowledge and practical experience required to design functional, visually appealing websites. The event was well-received, and there is clear demand for further sessions that could explore more advanced web development topics.
A TECHNICAL TALK EMPHASIZING IN-PLANT TRAINING PROGRAMS
A Technical talk on the importance of in-plant training programs in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice was arranged for S8 EEE & ELE students on 4/12/2024The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation, offering insights into the operational processes used in modern industries. IPCS Global, a leading provider of industrial automation and control systems solutions, is organizing an in-plant training session aimed at equipping participants with practical knowledge of the latest technologies in automation. The training will be conducted in-campus with duration of 6hrs per week and provided a hands-on learning experience to all attendees. IPCS Global is committed to offering top-notch placement service.
Hydrogen the Future Fuel
The seminar on “Hydrogen: The Future Fuel,” led by Santosh Kumar Varshney, was a resounding success,104 diverse audience from Schools, Engineering colleges, Polytechnics and Staffs eager to explore the potential of hydrogen in the energy landscape.
The seminar on “Hydrogen the future Fuel” aims to provide an overview of hydrogen as a fuel source, including its production methods, applications, and benefits.Discuss recent innovations in hydrogen production, storage, and fuel cell technology. Analyse hydrogen’s role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and its potential to support a transition to a more sustainable energy system.Highlight various sectors where hydrogen can be implemented, such as transportation, industrial processes, and energy storage.Review current policies supporting hydrogen development and discuss regulatory challenges and opportunities.Evaluate the economic aspects of hydrogen production and its competitiveness compared to other energy sources.Facilitate connections between industry professionals, researchers, and policymakers to foster collaboration in hydrogen research and development.Discuss the future potential of hydrogen as an energy carrier and its role in achieving energy security and sustainability goals.
Seminar on AI and Machine Learning in Education by TIST
The students of the department Electrical and Computer Engineering attended the seminar organized by the CSE at Toc H Institute of Science & Technology (TIST), Ernakulam, on AI and Machine Learning in Education. Held on 30th August 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Tagore Hall, the session was led by Mr. Rajesh M, Senior Technical Manager at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Chennai. Aimed at Senior Secondary School students, Engineering and Polytechnic students, Educators, and IT professionals, the seminar delved into the integration of AI and machine learning into educational frameworks, providing insights into current trends and practical applications. Attendees gained valuable exposure to industry-specific knowledge and the growing influence of these technologies in education.
WORKSHOP ON PYTHON PROGRAMMING
The department organized a hands on workshop on Python Programming for Vth and VII th Semester students on Friday August 16th, from 9.30AM to 3.30PM. The session was conducted by Ms. Rohini Menon, Learning and Development Head at Eleven Ace. The workshop covered all the basic concepts of Python Programming. The session was highly beneficial for the students.
An awareness session on Labview was conducted by Blauskills on 9.8.2024 from 7 pm to 8 pm for final and pre-final year students. The trainers offered an overview on Lab VIEW internship at their company which offers hands-on experience for data acquisition and system design, enhancing technical and problem-solving skills. Also the students will gain real-world project experience, develop industry-specific expertise, and build a professional network.
WORKSHOP ON CYBER SECURITY
On 5th August 2024, a total of 27 students from S3, S5 & S7 ELE participated in one day Workshop on Cyber Security organized by IEEE PES SB TocH. Mr. Sarath G, Cyber Forensics & Intelligence consultant , Xerolok was the resource person. The workshop provided valuable insights into the current state and future direction of cyber security. The event fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to tackle cyber security challenges. The workshop encouraged the adoption of AI, machine learning, and other advanced technologies to enhance cyber security measures.
TALK ON INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION USING PLC & SCADA
A technical talk in industrial automation using PLC & SCADA was given to S7 EE & ELE sudents on July 22nd 2024 by IPCS GLOBAL team. IPCS Global assures Practical and Industry-Oriented Training from Top Technical Experts, along with Real-time Projects and Top Placement Assistance. The training programs provide the best practice in the latest technologies, trends, and challenges in the immensely competitive areas of automation and embedded technologies. an interactive session on courses like PLC SCADA DCS HMI control panel designing and the placement opportunities was discussed.

Workshop on Intellectual property rights and IP Management for Startup
With an aim of establishing a basic level of IP awareness amongst the workshop participants, a Workshop on Intellectual property rights and IP Management for Startup was organized by IEDC TIST & IIC in association with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on 8th May 2024 at Tagore Hall, Toc H Institute of Science & Technology. Adv. Kailesh Gopi, Intellectual Property Attorney and associate Advocate, TCG Swamy & Associates was the resource person.
LED Bulb making AND Repairing Workshop in association withIEEE PES on Feb25 th, 2024. Resource Person: Mr. Sabir P, LED Trainer, ELIGHTTrainer, Malappuram and KSEB Substation Operator, Malappuram.
Asst. Prof. Deepa PL (Dept. of EL) and Asst. Prof. Kripa Radhakrishnan (Dept. of EL) participated in the Machine Learning with TensorFlow Bootcamp organized by the ICT Academy of Kerala in association with the Google Developers India Edu program at Koratty on November 22, 2023.
Asst. Professor Mangala Devi K.T completed the 5-day ONLINE FDP on the topic “POWER SYSTEM RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS” from 30th Oct to 3rd November 2023.
Asst. Professor Mangala Devi K.T. and Asst. professor Mini K.R had attended a demo and Seminar by FLUKE, held at Ernakulum on Nov 2nd, 2023. The event included a demo of the various professional tools of FLUKE and a Seminar on Industrial predictive maintenance, Process Instruments and Networking Test Tools.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering had successfully organized a 3-day workshop on Electrical CAD for the faculty of EEE and EL.
The training program imparted a hands-on practice in mastery the drawing of electrical machines, multi-storeyed buildings etc using AutoCAD and Electrical CAD software. Throughout 3-day duration attendees actively engaged in the assignments, project works and drawing practices. Mr Sreehari S Assistant Professor in EEE, ASIET, (Diploma in AutoCAD) was the resource person for the workshop.
TALK ON ELECTRIC VEHICLES
On 19th April 2023 a talk on “Electric Vehicle” was organized by EEE Department in association with IEEE PES. Mr. Mirash Francis, BMW Genius, BMW EVM Autokraft was the resource person. Students of both EEE and EL department attended the session. Talk gave the students an idea about the evolution of Electric Vehicles, Its design considerations and latest advancements in EV manufacturing. The resource person made the session more interesting through multimedia presentation & the participants got ample opportunity to clarify their doubts regarding the topic in the Q & A session
TALK ON APPLICATIONS OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN FIELD OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
On 6th January 2023 Mr. Johney Varghese, Vice President, Product Engineering Services, KalkiTech gave a talk on “Applications of Information Technology, Communication Technology in Field of Electrical Engineering”. Students and faculty from EEE, EC, CSE& EL department attended the session. The speaker gave a good insight to the students and faculty about the application of Information Technology, Communication Technology etc. in the field of Electrical Engineering. MOTIVATIONAL SESSION BY MR. YADEV JAYACHANDRAN
On 15th October 2022, fifteen S3 EL students attended a motivational session titled “My Story” by Mr. YadevJayachandran, KREWS, UAE organized by IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science.

MY STORY- MOTIVATIONAL SESSION BY A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR
On 28th October 2022 , Mr.JuhaimIbunu Abdul Jabbar (2010 -2014 Batch) alumini EEE department and Head of Operations, Blue Armour gave a motivational talk to 2022 Admission EEE and EL students. Mr. Juhaim detailed about his achievements in his campus life and his journey towards a successful entrepreneur. The talk provided an exposure to the students on getting on-board the start-up journey and how to overcome the hurdles.By the end of the meeting the students got a chance to put forth their queries which were diligently answered by the facilitator.
