Best Paper Award at International Conference – 2025
We are proud to announce that the paper titled “Development of an Innovative Multi-Surveillance Crawler for Confined Space Monitoring in Construction Management” received the Best Paper Award at the 4th International Conference on Innovative Trends in Engineering for Sustainability, 2025, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, TIST.
The paper, presented under the theme Smart Construction Technologies, was authored by Prof. (Dr.) Gnana Sheela K, Abhishek R, Al Ameen N, Jobin John, and Layas R J from the Department of Safety and Fire Engineering.

KTU CERD Student Project Grant Awarded
We are delighted to announce that the project titled “Confined Space Multi-Surveillance Crawler” has received a funding of Rs. 34,120/- under the KTU CERD student project category from the APJAKTU Research Section. The project is led by student team members Abhishek R, Al Ameen N, Jobin John, and Layas R J, under the guidance of Principal Investigator Prof. (Dr.) Gnana Sheela K and Co-Principal Investigator Asst. Prof. Naveen G from the Department of Safety and Fire Engineering. Congratulations to the entire team on this achievement and for taking a significant step toward innovative engineering solutions.
Asst. Prof. Renju Raj successfully completed the NPTEL online certificate course and faculty development program on “Foundation of Computational Fluid Dynamics”.
