Students Participated in ‘Boosting Emotional Immunity’ an exclusive webinar, organized by the Kerala Management Association (KMA) on 10th June 2021

A series of Ice Breaking sessions on leadership, teamwork, and Tablo were organized by the faculty of Management Studies on 26th, 27th. and 28th October 2021 with the active participation of all 60 students of the MBA 2021 batch. The sessions were handled by Frank Hycinth, Dr.TesslaArakal, Shibin Raj TC, and Dr. Pearly Saira Chacko.

A Movie review session on the critically acclaimed movie ‘Founder’ was organized on 29th October 2021.

A two-day Induction program for MBA 2021-23 batch was conducted from 1st to 3rd November 2021. The first session was handled by Mr. Abhishad Aziz- a Motivational Speaker. The next two sessions were hosted by Mr. Renjit Ravi Keshav, founder of Skew Learning, Personal Trainer, Corporate Trainer, and Educational Leadership Consultant.

Another skill enhancement workshop for MBA 2021-23 batch was held on 11, November 2021. The session was handled by Mr. Mohammad Ikan, a multifaceted trainer. He is the Founder of the Online Interact platform, Influencer Coach, Business Presentation Coach, Body Language Expert, and Public Speaker

Pre-Placement Training was organized for the senior batch on 17th and 18th November 2021. The training was handled by Mr. Sooraj Abraham (Life Skill and Soft skill Coach).

To mold our students with analytical and logical reasoning skills which are quintessential for cracking interviews, a 5-day Aptitude Training program was organized for the MBA 2020 batch from 22nd November to 26th November 2021. The sessions were handled by Pragmatix.

Students got the opportunity to listen to Startup CEOs Mr. Shihab Makanayil (Founder and CEO, Shopdoc) and Ms. Neenu Rathin (Founder and CEO, The Social Town) on 21st January 2022 at an event organized by KMA.

Students attended a KMA panel discussion on Kerala’s developmental conundrum on 27th January 2022.

Partnering with BIAP, Mumbai, and Bombay Stock Exchange a train session on ‘Overview of Securities Market’ was organized on 5th April 2022.The resource person was Mr. Manoj T Neelakantan, Ex-AGM IDBI Bank, BFSI Trainer.

On 18th May 2022, a session on Introducing Software for Econometrics was handled by Prof. Bojan Radisic (Veleuciliste U Pozegi, Croatia).

Pandemic has pushed the world into a new normal and the virtual platform has showered its blessings to the budding managers as they got to listen and interact with the eminent personalities from around the world.

A Talk on ‘Servant leadership’ by KMA was given by Dr. Santosh Rangnekar, Professor, IIT Roorkee on 25th November 2020.

KMA leader talk session was conducted on 2nd December 2020 by Dr. A V Sivarama Prasad, President, the KCP Limited on the topic ‘Future of industry and people management”.

KMA session on “Start-up Conversation” by Mr. John Mathew, Co-founder, and CEO of Riafy Technologies PVT LTD, and Mr. Gis George, Co-founder, and Chairman of Transit systems Pvt ltd on 21st January 2021.

Panel discussion by KMA on the topic ‘Union Budget 2021- dissected’ was conducted on 4th February 2021 by Dr. VK Vijayakumar (Investment strategist Geojit Financial services), Mr. V Sathyanarayanan (Senior Partner Varma & Varma). This session was moderated by Mr. Vivek (Krishna Govind).

“Seven C models for businesses during the challenging time” by KMA on 9th February 2021. The session was handled by Prof Dr. Anil Menon, business finance consultant & adjunct professor SP Jain School of Global Management Mumbai.

A lecture was conducted on the memorial of Prof Dr. MV Pylee by KMA on 24th February 2021. The speakers were Mr. D Shivakumar, Group executive president, Corporate Strategy, and Business Development of Aditya Birla group.

“Digital transformation of supply chain/logistics” by KMA on 28th May 2021. The session was handled by the experienced speaker Mr. Indranil Sen, Director of Global Operation, Accenture Singapore.

Online session by KMA on the topic “Start-up Conversation” on 4th June 2021. The session was handled by the co-founders of Fuselage innovations Private Ltd, Ms. Devika Chandrashekharan and Mr. Devan Chandrashekharan.

A talk on Boosting emotional immunity was conducted by KMA on 10th June 2021. The sessions were handled by Mrs. Amrita Gupta Nair and Mrs. Sujata K Shri Sagar, Chief sales officer career launcher.

KMA session on “Rebooting global workstations for the new normal” on 24th of July 2021. The sessions were handled by Mr. Arvind warrior Mrs. Mari lebanidze, Mr. Ivan Gorski, Ms. AyanthiKulasekara, Ms. Sakthi Priya & Mr. Arun Kaimal.

KMA session on “Shaping young minds” program organized by AIMA and KMA on August 25th, 2021. The speakers were Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, chairman of hero enterprise, Mr. Piyush Pandey chief executive officer worldwide and executive chairman India Ogilvy, and Mr. TV Mohandas Pai, chairman of Manipal global education service Pvt ltd.

A leader talk session was organized by KMA on the topic “Psychological Safety at Work-productivity and innovation imperative” by Mr. Premkumar Seshadri , Former executive vice-chairman and M.D of HCL Infosys infosystems limited on 30th of August 2021.

A Webinar was conducted by VGLD in association with AICPA on “Benefits of future tech skill in global employability scenario today” on 6th September 2021 by Bhaskar Ranjan Das, Associate Director of AICPA and CIMA.

Online session by KMA on “Start-up conversation” led by Mr. Abhi Krishna, Co-founder, and CEO of care stack enterprise dental software, and Mr. Ravindra Nath Kamath Co-founder and CFO, Next education India private limited on 7th September 2021.

Women managers’ forum of KMA conducted a program on “Build a brand called you” on 9th September 2021. The session was handled by the cofounder of Beta monks technology factory and founder of Beta monk innovation Dr. Senthamari G.

KMA session of “Rendezvous with the CEO” was held on 25th September 2021 with Mr. Dileep Oommen CEO ArcelorMittal Nippon steel in conversation with Mr. Prasad K Panicker, Director and head of refinery, Nayana energy Ltd and Mr. Madhu S Nair, chairman, and MD cochin shipyard Ltd.

A digital marketing webinar was conducted by the Department of Management studies of Toc H Institute of Science and Technology in association with ILT Internet Leadstraining.com on 8th February 2021 by Jitto Joseph CEO/ founder of Internet Lead Training.

A webinar on “Migration and study abroad opportunities for MBA graduates” was conducted on 11th September 2021 by Toc H institute of science and technology in association with GEEBEE education and M&G immigration and study abroad consultancy. The session was handled by Academic trainees Aleena Shebin Alice T J, Sr. Study manager, and Reneeshia M.S, Sr. Migration manager.

A training session was conducted by Toc H Institute of Science and Technology on “Value of IEEE explore and EBSCO e-Books in research and project work” on 28th September 2021 by Mr. Nandalal T.S, Senior Training Manager South India, EBSCO Information Services, New Delhi.

Students were fortunate to meet and listen to Padmabhushan Sri. S Nambi Narayanan at the 5th, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Lecture, organized by Cochin Chamber of Commerce at Avenue Centre Hotel, Panampilly Nagar on 18.10.2019.

The department organised a seminar on ‘Work-Life Balance’ on 2nd December 2019. The guest for the event was a notable Indian diplomat, Ambassador KP Fabian who served in the Indian Foreign Services from 1964 to 2000. He educated the students on the importance of work-life balance in today’s competitive world.

Toc H MBA hosted the Business Line Club ‘Commodity Talk’ powered by Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) on 12th February 2020. The session was handled by an experienced Trainer, Mr Shrikanth Koundinya, FCMA, CGMA.

MBA students attended the Dhanam BFSI summit and Award night at Le Meridien Hotel, Kochi which was held on 27th February 2020. In the first phase, the Chief Guest Mr Ramanathan Bupathy spoke about the crucial role of decision making, digital economy and business disruptions, the role of NBFCs and demonetization. Each keynote speaker educated the crowd on topics such as Challenges and changes in Indian Banking today, Broad sectoral challenges and the need for fresh thinking, asset quality challenges etc. The summit helped the students to enhance their knowledge regarding the workings of a growing and changing business industry.

Toc H MBA students took part in the 21st Annual Malayala Manorama Budget Lecture 2020 at Le Meridian Convention Centre. The discussion was led by eminent economist Rathin Roy provided a glimpse into the different facets of Union Budget 2020-21.
