Surveying lab offers supplemental experience in fundamental land surveying measurement methods for surveying courses, including precision taping methods to perform horizontal measurements, traditional transits and digital theodolites to perform angular measurements, and traditional and automatic levels for elevation measurements. In addition, students have opportunity to use total station equipment, which enables horizontal, vertical, and angular measurements to be made in one operation.

A typical geotechnical engineering laboratory helps in identifying the engineering behavior of soils and rocks. There are different physical, chemical and geotechnical properties determined in the laboratory that is required for identifying the geomaterials. This information is used by geotechnical engineer for designing the type of foundations, earthworks such as dams, embankments, tunnels, reservoirs, pavement subgrades, and specialized applications like waste containment systems. The preciseness of such design is entirely based on the experimental information obtained from a geotechnical laboratory. Therefore, geotechnical engineering laboratory has a great role to play in rendering the subsurface a safe and stable load bearing medium

Environmental engineering is a branch of civil engineering concerned with the application of scientific and engineering principles for: 1) protection of human populations from the effects of adverse environmental factors; 2) protection of environments, both local and global, from the potentially deleterious effects of natural and human activities; and, 3) improvement of environmental quality. The lab mainly consists of checking potable water standards, presence of heavy metals and other pollutants in water.

Building technology and NDT lab explores ways to use design and technology to test various building parameters that contribute to a more humane, environmentally responsible and structurally stable built world. It allows the students to quantify the comfort conditions in a building using state of the art testing equipments. The lab also gives an insight into the structural conditions of a building without damaging it. Objective of Structural engg lab is to conduct experimental studies on model/prototype of structural elements and assemblies under various static and dynamic loading conditions.
