When I joined college, my initial focus was academics. Then Toc H IIC happened and it changed our outlook. IIC has now become an integral part of our B.Tech life in the campus and we are encouraged to ideate, innovate & dream bigger.

I am glad to state that in Toc H we have an ambiance that promotes innovation and ideation. With the right mentoring from the faculty coordinators of IIC, we get to learn a lot about how a trivial idea can be modified & converted to great plan.

I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur and after joining TIST for my Engineering program, I realised my dreams can come true through the guidance and support I get from the Toc H IIC. Here I get to listen to experts about various challenges as well as opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship and thus I can prepare myself well in advance.

College is a world of opportunities to learn, discover and innovate. But most importantly there needs a space for students to freely bring up their thoughts and ideas without hesitation. Toc H IIC has always been that platform for the students of TIST to do so. I have found the mentors to be incredibly friendly and helpful to turn our ideas into potential start up plans. They are very supportive and take great initiative to impart knowledge and skills to students. Being a part of IIC, I have had great experience of learning with academic exposure to reputed industries and institutions.

In our college, through Toc H IIC, we get the first-hand experience of interacting with entrepreneurs and industry experts. IIC has been instrumental in organizing a variety of talks & lectures that motivate us in realizing our goal of establishing our own ventures.

The right environment to nurture innovation & groom an entrepreneur is the best outcome ever since Toc H IIC happened. I am most impressed by the success story of some of the successful start-up owners. A work-friendly innovation ecosystem makes it easier to scout & materialize our business ideas

The IIC chapter of our college has been able to organize successful and inspiring sessions and seminars for students. The seminars were taken by young Entrepreneurs and professionals, and these proved to be very use. One such seminar was on the topic “Business model Canvas” by Ajay Basil Varghese who is a professor , IEDC nodal officer and an investor. That was a memorable and worthy experience for a young and aspiring entrepreneur like me.

The IIC and IEDC cell of our campus are very active and have organized various seminars and other activities on our campus. The one that inspired me most was the session handled by Jibin Jose, founder of Flip motion, on the topic “Incubation opportunities for early stage startups”. It was an excellent opportunity for the aspiring young Entrepreneur in us to learn more about the startup ecosystem. Expecting more of the kind

The workshops & Hackathons organised by Toc H IIC help build a sense of teamwork, responsibility, confidence and increased self-esteem among the participants. Thank you for going the extra mile to support us to think differently and encourage them to come up with new ideas -how much ever trivial it may look- without having to fear about the quality of the idea.

I am a person of innovative thinking, and I feel Toc H IIC deserves high accolades for its work with students, for the patience & commitment of the mentors to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset. We can dare to come up with any idea, with a possibility of transforming it into a business plan later.

Though I am new to the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, I was amazed at the transformation and innovative thinking I have acquired after associating with Toc H IIC. I look forward to the upcoming activities that helps to create awareness, and inculcate a culture of innovation amongst the students.
